Interested in getting involved at Hope Church?

One way to connect and make new friends is through serving. Our desire is to help you discover how God has uniquely gifted you so that you volunteer in ways that bring you energy.  Please take a gift analysis to help align your talent with a ministry team. Volunteering can be as simple as handing out bulletins on a Sunday or assisting our youngest members in our Nursery. If you choose to call Hope Church San Antonio your home, we invite you to join a ministry team and make service a part of your worship!  To request placement on a ministry team, please fill out this form and we will help connect you!  

  • Missions

    We support efforts to spread the message of the Gospel across the world. A percentage of our church budget goes to missions. This team oversees communication, financial matters and trips to keep consistent support flowing to our missionaries.  These are the places we currently support:

    • Cuba:  Havana & Camajuani
    • Guatamela
    • Arab Middle East
    • Beruit, Lebanon
    • Laredo, Texas

  • worship

    We enjoy diverse music (old, new and updated) to help engage worshipers from all church/musical backgrounds. We include traditional hymns, favorite worship songs from the past few decades, and modern Christian radio.  We also incorporate many old hymns done in updated tunes/styles. Our Hope Church Worship Team is not about performing.  Our aim is to invite everyone into the corporate act of worshiping God through engaging songs of praise.   Read More...

  • Hospitality

    Our hospitality team oversees church decor, Sunday morning coffee service, and preparations for special events including social lunches such as the Chili Cook off, Easter, and Christmas. Additionally ushers and greeters welcome visitors and our congregation as well as assist with any special needs. 

  • Outreach

    Serving the community right here in San Antonio is important at Hope Church.  Our Outreach efforts often link together with other ministries such as the youth group and small groups in an effort to give everyone the opportunity to serve and love the people of our community. Hope partners with Blue Print Ministries to assist people of San Antonio who need a helping hand.  Hope participates in supporting the SS American Memorial which is a military outreach for wounded warriors and veterans.

    We take praying for each other and the needs of our people seriously. During the offering time on Sundays a member of our leadership will be near the cross to pray privately for any concerns you may have.  During the week, our team prays for ongoing prayer requests.  To submit a prayer request  

  • Children & Youth

    Hope Church places high value on including children and youth as an integral part of our congregation. Trained volunteers love, minister and teach the word of God to all ages 0 mos. to 18 yrs. through our Nursery, Hope4Kids and Youth Group program.   

  • Administration

    Our "behind the scenes" admin team helps with tasks such as printing bulletins, taking attendance, office assistance, data base management, event organization, and much more. 

  • Marketing

    The Hope marketing team brings a "public" face to Hope Church by managing content on the website as well as contributing to social media: Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr. Photography, writing, design and creativity are all needed on this team!
