Christmas Gifts for Blueprint Families

Supporting our homeowners this year looks a little different to respect social distancing.  We simply need to purchase the gifts listed below and deliver them to Hope Church by Sunday, Dec 6th.  There will be one box for each of our 6 adopted families.  Just wrap your gift (taping well a label identifying the recipient) and place your gift in the box for that family in Hope Fellowship hall.  We also need volunteers to deliver the collected gifts (by Dec 14th).  If you sign up to deliver to a family or two, Lois True will send you their contact information.  We are asked to pre-coordinate drop-off time with each family to ensure secure door-step deliveries (avoiding threat of theft).

Wednesday book study via Zoom

Join us Wednesday evenings at 7:00, beginning November 4th on Zoom, as we discuss the most influential, controversial and profitable book of the nineteenth century. Leaving the confines of what society deemed acceptable, Harriet Beecher Stowe set out to write a novel that would shine the light of God's Truth on the evils inherent in the institution of slavery in the United States. The daughter of a Calvinist pastor, (considered by many to be the best preacher of his time,) Harriet combined her faith with her writing skills to develop the admirable and likable character, "Uncle Tom". Using strong Christian imagery, she draws readers into the story that will leave them calling for the abolition of slavery.

This book will allow us to explore the themes of Christian imagery in the novel, and discuss more current topics like race relations, human trafficking and how we can all be people of faith who impact our culture and society.

Order you book online, listen to it on YouTube or purchase from Hope Church here.
